I saw on Twitter the other day that someone I know was thinking about NaNoWriMo. Realizing that NaNoWriMo starts in about two weeks, I started debating whether or not I’d be participating once again. I say “started” because almost immediately I came up with a plot I would like to explore.
If you look at my stat page, pretty much the only thing there is the title of my next project, “My Zombie Survival Plan.” I don’t normally care about zombies, but over the summer I found myself talking to a few people about what I would do if a zombie apocalypse DID happen. My plan is relatively realistic (and somewhat bleak), but I think it has the glimmerings of an excellent plot.
I’m hoping to spend some time over the next few weeks fleshing the concept out a bit more. I’d like this novel to be a little more polished (ie not a completely hopeless mess) when I’m done so it will be a little easier to work with should I choose to continue developing it at a later date.
