At about 3 minutes to midnight, I wrote my 50,000th word on my novel! That’s right, on Day 23, when I needed to have 38,333 words, I reached the target for NaNoWriMo!!!!
My novel isn’t quite finished, but I knew that was going to happen as I started wrapping things up. I’ll have to keep working on it for another day or two, but it is right near the end. And I still have about a week to go before the month is over, so that is plenty of time to finish things up.
Having written 3,600 words today in an effort to make the goal before midnight, I’ve decided I am going to take a break and celebrate now. I’ll provide a better update once the month is up (and the novel is actually finished!)
